Must Read - About This Manual: Thank you for purchasing your Performance Module! Our Performance Module works by sending a modified signal through a factory sensor, which is located in your engine compartment, called the IAT Sensor, which is linked directly to the Engine Control Module. The ECM (Engine Control Module) controls fuel timing, fuel injection, pulse widths, and more. The signal sent from your Performance Module alters your ECM reading making it reprogram itself for a better overall engine tune. Since Performance Modules make the computer reprogram itself, it is EXTREMELY safe to use because the ECM has factory safeguards which keep it from going beyond your cars factory SAFE capabilities. This means it's 100% SAFE for your engine! If you ever decide to sell you car, take it in for service, or just remove our module, the ECM will revert back to it's original settings once you uninstall the Module! There are absolutely NO permanent affects, NO footprints, and there is NO Damage to your engine! To Begin Installation: Your first step is to locate your cars IAT located in your engine compartment. The IAT sensor can also be called the ACT or MAT sensor. Your IAT sensor is usually a small two-wire plug locate near your air intake tube. In some cars, the IAT sensor might be combined into a larger five-wire or six-wire MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) plug. The IAT is never combined into a three-wire or four-wire plug. If you have a combined sensor, we must find out which two wires are the IAT functional wires. It's near impossible to list the unique information for your exact vehicle in this Guide, since each make and model, and engine variation, all have different center locations and / or wire colors. But don't fear, to your satisfaction, we've included a list of "most common" IAT wire colors for domestic vehicles. If you need help locating the correct sensor or wiring colors for your specific vehicle, please e-mail us and we'll assist you! Please make sure when e-mailing that you include your YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE SIZE, as well as your email address so we can send the diagrams. If you don't submit the required information, the process of support will be delayed until we receive it. Due to the volume of e-mails received, we can only guarantee a response time of 24-48 hours. Step by Step Instructions: As soon as you have located your IAT sensor, please disconnect your negative (ground) terminal from your battery. We recommended at least a few hours. You must not ignore this step, not only is it safer for you, but in order for your Performance Module to work properly, we need to ensure that any old engine settings are properly cleared out! We have included an illustrative guide below. Please remember this guide does not reflect your specific vehicle and is simply to teach you the installation process.
The two images above are shown to define terminology commonly used in this installation manual. This is an example of what you may have in your car, an integrated five-wire MAF sensor. Keep in mind your vehicle may just an independent two-wire IAT sensor. An example can be seen further down this manual page. If you have an integrated five or six-wire sensor please look at the images for installation. Keep in mind this is only an example, locations on each vehicle may vary. ![]() After locating your MAF integrated sensor, your next step is to identify the two functioning IAT wires. In this example, the two wires are Pin 1 (Green/Yellow) and Pin 2 (Orange/Yellow). If your wires are protected by a factory wrap, CAREFULLY remove some of it to expose your IAT wires. After you have exposed the wires, take the two supplied wire taps and insert them into the wires. If your metal clips have been pushed down during shipment, please pull them up. After you have connected the wire taps to your MAF sensor, slide in the chip wires (in any order, since the module uses a closed loop system), and use your favorite wrench to squeeze down the metal clip. Then, use the attached clamp to secure the wire tap remains closed (STEP 3). Finally use the supplied OEM grade Zip Tie to mount your Performance Module (STEP 4). You may now reconnect your battery, although, we recommend you keep it unplugged for a few hours so the ECM can clear old adaptive settings. If you do not see results immediately, don't worry, it often takes around a week for the settings in your systems ECM to reset and learn it's new Performance Program. Most vehicles don't need a week, but in some vehicles, this is the case.
![]() We know all of our buyers are very smart shoppers who have not been properly introduced to eBay's new feedback system. The MOST IMPORTANT part of feedback is the new DSR (Star Rating System). If any sellers receives less than 5 stars THEY WILL BE SEVERELY PENALIZED!!We just wanted to let you know, on behalf of all sellers! What's confusing is that eBay lables 4 stars as "Satisfactory", which might make you think is good, but in reality it's HORRIBLE for us. Anything less than 5 stars on eBay's DSR feedback system actually lowers the Sellers credibility! With that being said, we're willing to do ANYTHING we need to do to ensure we receive a positive 5 star rating for every transaction!
Feedback: Feedback is a crucial part of eBay. eBay requests that all buyers and sellers leave feedback for every transaction. This is often overlooked! Our feedback system is set up to AUTOMATICALLY leave you feedback, after you have left it for us! We respond to all feedbacks with a positive 5 star revew! Please put 5 stars when leaving feedback! Our Module has been proven time and time again by every customer to save you money and give you power! We offer our item for a fraction of the competitions cost! The only thing we ask in return if feedback! My Gas Mileage Has NOT Increased or My Car Does NOT have more power? In most cases it's simply because the battery was not un-plugged long enough. In other cases it's because the installation was not correct, or the wires did not get fully spliced, or there is a weak connection. It's rare that a chip just doesn't work, but this happens. If you can find no evidence of improper installation, email us, and we'll arrange for a replacement or diagnosis of what might be the cause. *A note about gas mileage: Most people assume they can just slam peddle to the metal and still increase gas mileage... Unfortunately this is not the case. Our modules work UNBELIEVABLY WELL during the cruise control operation. But, either way, if you're driving reasonably, you should see an increase in mileage during city driving, highway driving, etc... If you are not then check for proper installation or email us! If You are Not Satisfied: NO PROBLEM! BUT!!!! Please do not leave negative feedback or file a claim. Doing either of these will delay the refund process. If PayPal puts the transaction on hold, we aren't able to refund. If a negative feedback is left, we'll try our best to help you revise it to a positive during the refund process... Claims do nothing be delay the process, we are willing to give refunds as soon as we receive the product return. We even pay for return shipping! Please follow these steps to return your module: We don't believe in RMA #'s or any of that crazy stuff! That's just created to complicate the process - so you decide not to return! We'll just take it back! We only have 3 requirements. First, we need you to print out your eBay receipt, or include your eBay name, or your First and Last name.. If we don't have that, who will we refund?!? Second we need you to send us an email via eBay giving us the heads up. In most cases, as long as we see the item is on the way back we'll refund before we even receive it! Third and most important you MUST send it back via First Class Mail 2-5 day in order to be eligable for a refund of shipping fees! Anything else and we wont refund... And yes, it's true, some people have sent overnight returns, which costs more than the product itself!! Performance cannot be held responsible for any incorrect or improper installations, and or damage occurred while using or installing this chip improperly.
